Cure Asthma with these Effective Home Remedies

Asthma is considered to be a chronic inflammatory disease that greatly has adverse effects on the air passages.   • Black Tea/ Coffee :

Caffeine present in coffee helps asthma. If, however, you are not a coffee person, you can choose black tea. But, ensure that you do not drink more than 3 cups in a day.

  • Eucalyptus Oil :

Eucalyptus essential oil can really aid in keeping asthma away. Take a cup of boiling water and add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to it. Its steam opens up the nasal passages and air passages to ease the passing of air.

  • Honey :

Have a teaspoon of honey mixed in hot water at least 2-3 times a day else inhale the odor of honey. Also, you can mix 1 teaspoon of honey with a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder and have it before going to bed.

  • Onions :

Onions have anti-inflammatory characteristics and they are found to be useful in clearing air passages. So, if you have asthma, consume onions – these can be raw as a salad or cooked in vegetables.

  • Fruits and Lemons :

Fruits, like strawberries, blueberries, papaya, and oranges are useful for those suffering from asthma. In addition, lemons are a rich source of vitamin C and should be had with water and sugar once in a day.

  • Fishes :

Eating fishes, such as salmon, tuna and sardines can be highly effective in treating asthma. These all make your lungs healthier and stronger to fight asthma and treat it rapidly and successfully. You can prefer these fish oils if you cannot consume these in cooked form.

  • Gooseberries (Amla) :

Gooseberries are preferred for asthma. Squash a few gooseberries and add some honey to them. Have the mixture daily and keep yourself away from the trouble.

  • Soup :

Blend reddish to obtain some juice from it. Combine it with some honey and lemon juice. Having it clears up your respiratory path and becomes easier to respire.

  • Bitter Gourd :

To the bitter gourd juice, add some paste of basil and honey to it. Combine them well. Have it on regular basis to cure asthmatic attacks.

  • Herbal Tea :

Herbal tea with a bit of lime juice and crushed ginger helps in asthma. Herbal tea, made from licorice root is a useful treatment for asthma.

  • Fennel Seeds :

Make a habit of consuming fennel seeds to free yourself from the asthmatic attacks.

  • Warm Milk :

Take a glass of warm milk and add to it an equal quantity of olive oil and honey. Drink it with a few garlic cloves before breakfast. This brings you quick asthma relief.

  • Parsley Leaf :

Parsley leaf is a preferred herbal remedy to treat asthma cough. Tea from these leaves soothes the throat and brings relief to chest congestion.

Nevertheless, there are various medical treatments available for asthma but the natural homemade remedies provide healthier relief from the asthma symptoms.
